As an Architectural Designer, your role focuses on supporting the project team in the production of drawings, details, and material takeoffs for various commercial and other modular projects. In a fast-paced working environment, speed and efficiency are considered a strong asset. Your ability to self-manage, while working collaboratively amongst a multi-disciplinary team will result in high quality design content and information.



Specific Accountability:


  • Timely delivery of Building Code Compliant and cost-effective Construction Drawings through acute collaboration with Manufacturing, Estimating Design, Compliance and Standards, and Supply Chain;
  • Coordinate arrangement designs with other disciplines (Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) to ensure seamless integration to Approved for Construction drawing status;
  • Reference the product cost estimate during the drawing process and raises any significant anomalies with the appropriate internal stakeholders;
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and procedures;
  • Prepare accurate, detailed material take-offs which also identifies long-lead items;
  • Maintain awareness of current building codes through internal and external technical resources;
  • Operate within ISO Quality system and company safety policy in all phases of assignments;
  • View products in the manufacturing frequently with internal stakeholders to confirm accuracy of drawings, material take-off selections / quantities, and opportunities for improvement;
  • Uphold the company Code of Ethics;
  • Other duties as assigned.



What you need to succeed in this role:


  • Architectural, Engineering, or Drafting diploma or equivalent experience;
  • 5+ years of Residential, Commercial, or Modular Design experience preferred;
  • Proficient with CAD Systems; Autodesk products (Revit);
  • Proficient using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
