ATCO Two Rivers Camps Services Ltd is seeking applications from local job seekers in the Peace River region of British Columbia.
Under the direction and leadership of the Maintenance Manager, we are seeking a Roads and Grounds Laborer to join our Camp Services department at our BC Hydro Site C Lodge located in British Columbia. This role is responsible for directing, coordinating and scheduling grounds maintenance work
Located: 7 kilometers southwest of Fort St. John, BC. This position is based on a rotation of either 5 days on and 2 days off OR 14 days on and 7 days off rotation
• Ensuring the general upkeep of the external property in all seasons by providing snow and ice removal, mowing lawns, raking and weeding, shrub and tree pruning, watering lawns, and cleaning sidewalks
• Safely operating hand-held equipment and tools used in maintaining the grounds and for the purpose of mowing lawn, snow removal, cleaning parking lots/sidewalks
• Operating various equipment such as bob cat, front end loader, sand truck, areal work platform
• Collection and disposal of refuse and debris
• Cleaning outside windows
• Cleaning of eaves on all buildings at site
• Maintenance of the exterior of the buildings, i.e. free of debris, leaves
• Organizing and maintaining supplies required such as fuel, oil, soil, fertilizers, and weed control products
• Performing other duties as required

• Have previous experience as a groundskeeper/landscaper, operating and maintenance of related equipment will be an asset
• Background in pesticide application and /or valid pesticide certification for spraying and application of pesticides in the Province of BC considered an asset. Successful candidate must be willing to complete training to obtain certification.
• Current OSSA or OSHA approved certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform required;
• Be self-motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision;
• Class 3 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Current and valid certification for operating bobcat, front end loader, and areal work platform;
• Have the ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Final candidates will be required to undergo a criminal background check and fit for work medical including A&D testing.
